Ferah is one of Australia's most elite belly dance artists. Born and raised in Wollongong, NSW, Australia, Ferah auditioned for Australia's Got Talent in 2010 where she earned a place in the Semi Finals.
Ferah continues to fulfil her dream to bellydance and perform in many special events Australia wide. She brings her inspirational talents to her fans in the exotic World of both ancient & modern bellydance.
Ferah is from an Australian/Turkish/Turkish Cypriot background - starting at the age of 5 years old she began her journey in the art of belly dancing with the support of her family and friends. She has been influenced and inspired by belly dancer Tanyeli who today is a famous renowned star in Turkey. Her very first performance on stage was for the Wollongong "Viva La Gong" in 2002, where she first started to build her confidence in front of thousands of people at the age of 6.
Ferah has since performed at numerous events, such as international nights, fundraisers, charities, and festivals, and in 2003 performed for the late Johnny Warren's Gala night along with ex Prime Minister Bob Hawke, Premier of NSW, and VIP guests. She also featured in the World Masters Ceremony performing with Hathor Dance Company, the Sydney Middle Eastern Dance Festival, directed by Leonie Sukan and in 2008, was a supporting act for the Sydney TurkFest which celebrated 40 years of Turkish Australians immigrating to Australia. She has also been a supporting act for a number of international Turkish singers such as Tarik Menguc, Cilgin Sedat, Sumer Ozgu plus a well known Australian/Turkish band Gelisim, Kadir and many more.
Ferah desires to accomplish her dancing dream to become a well known artist of the belly dancing world. She is self taught and through sheer determination, hard work and drive she has propelled herself to where she is now.
Ferah says, "I am extremely lucky that multiculturalism is very much accepted and embraced in Australia. I have been able to perform in various settings and there has been nothing but positivity from it all."
