Founded in 2011 The Regent Street Big Band is an energetic 17 piece big band from Sydney, playing a diverse range of Jazz music from traditional swing tunes such as Glen Miller, Count Basie and Duke Ellington through to Bebop and Funk standards made famous by artists such as Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie and Thelonious Monk. In full flight, the band is an amazing live experience.

The impressive repertoire including original scores from the Mingus Big Band, this group of talented musicians always puts on a spectacular show. Featuring a tight rhythm section, brilliant brass and a collection of masterful soloists, the Regent Street Big Band have carefully crafted their sound over the past 5 years to ensure that each performance is a work of art.
